About Fasteners

When two or more parts are joined together by some process, the process is called ‘Fastening’ and the elements by which the parts are so joined, are called ‘Fasteners’. Fasteners are of two types:-

(1) Permanent (2) Temporary. Permanent Fastening may be accomplished by riveting or welding but Fastening by Bolts,Nuts,Pins etc. may be classified as temporary fastening. A fundamental feature of bolts and nuts is that parts connected by them can be easily disconnected when required. Fastener industry is the most important industry. We are attached to the most important industry. It is a matter of great pride for us that our beloved state of Punjab produces 80% to 85% of country’s total requirement of Fastener items. Though small in look, size and in term of monetary value, yet nothing in the world can work without the Bolts,Nuts,Screws,Washers,Studs or Rivers etc. which come under the title of Industrial Fasteners. Also Allen Bolts were introduced in the fasteners which have torque strength more than double. Right from a watch up to Aero Plane and Ships, it is the Fasteners which take load all the times and that too invisibly and silently. In the most simple definition, Fasteners is the only item which is known or connected directly to 95% of the entire population.
We can say that Fastener is our all time invisible friend
